Shidoshi Brent Earlewine
Brent Earlewine is Husband, Father and Martial Artist. His goal is to help the world by developing Divine Warriors - one at a time. This effort starts and ends within his own life and the lives of those around him. (His oldest son Ethan has now started down the path towards becoming a Divine Warrior.)
Brent started his martial arts training at the age of 17. In his early twenties, Brent received Dan ranking in Korean Tang Soo Do under Grandmaster T.H. Nam. (During this time, Brent was featured along with Grandmaster Nam in Black Belt magazine.) Not satisfied with the static sport martial arts, Brent left Tang Soo Do looking for a more realistic and complete system.
In late 1997, Brent came across Budo Taijutsu. Authentic Ninjutsu was something that Brent had been looking for, and finding it was the impetus to taking the next step in Brent’s martial arts journey. Brent received his Shodan in a special ceremony in 2001. (Lifelong friend David Fetterman received his Shodan in the same ceremony.) Brent received his Nidan and Shidoshi-Ho certification in early 2002, and his Sandan in November 2002. In 2003 during a once in a lifetime trip to Japan, Brent received his Shoden (Shodan) ranking in Muso Ikken Ryu Batto Justu directly from Soke Machida. Brent received his Yondan in March of 2004. In June of 2005 Brent received his Shidoshi License directly from Soke at the Hombu Dojo in Noda City Japan.
Brent has also been exposed to the beginning levels of Iaido and DeCuerdas Eskrima. Throughout his martial arts journey, Brent has studied Tibetan Buddhism and the spirituality of the Lakota Indians. In 2002, Brent went through the one year process of Warriorship with Phil Legare (DeLeecho).
